This week we’ve got two reviews for you, dear listener, and one of the films sees a rare disagreement between Joe and me. We lead with End of Watch, the found footage buddy cop movie, then on to Looper, a new time travel flick from Rian Johnson. The last segment is a discussion of some sci-fi films that have aged well.

No love for the original Predator? All unfortunate (Predator 2, AVP/AVPR) and somewhat surprising (Predators) followups aside, the original film all by itself stands up amazingly well IMHO. The concept, the performances, the score, and even the FX all still rate an enjoyable experience for me.
You’re on point Drew. In re-watching PREDATOR earlier this year I was stunned by how well it held up and I actually have a soft spot for PREDATOR 2 if for nothing else than Danny Glover calling The Predator “pussyface.” Did you know that Jean Claude Van Damme was originally cast as the PREDATOR?
