What better way to get in the spirit of election season than to gain an understanding of human rights issues around the world by coming to Voices In Action: Human Rights on Film.
Voices In Action is an eye-opening film series that introduces its audience to a wide range of injustice in the world from Israel, India, South America, Egypt, and right back to our own backyard.
Last night was the premiere of the NW Film Center’s Voices In Action: Human Rights on Film. “Radio Unnamable,” a documentary about DJ Bob Fass for WBAI, the late night radio in New York City that gives its citizens a voice over the airwaves, was the kick off the thought-provoking series with many more justice seeking films to follow this month and next.
Come to the Whitsell Auditorium to see how these activists triumph over stereotypes, cultural indifference, chemically processing tyrants, and gain understanding of life through their eyes.
