Announcing the PIFF 36 Alaska Airlines Audience Award Winners

After an amazing push by our Festival ballot volunteers, the results have been tabulated and we’re excited to announce the 36th Portland International Film Festival’s Alaska Airlines Audience Awards.  Director Wayne Blair’s THE SAPPHIRES is the recipient of both the Best Narrative Award and the Best New Directors Award by our PIFF 36 audience.  For the Best Documentary Award, the locally-shot film AMERICAN WINTER took the prize.  Festival-goers deemed Khen Shalem’s THE OTHER SIDE the Best Short at the PIFF 36.  And the Best Oregon Short Film Award goes to Orland Nutt’s DEAR PETER, WOODCHIPS I.

The full list of rankings rests below the photo.
